Private Retreats at Ahu Lani SanctuaryAhu Lani Sanctuary was originally designed and built as a residential retreat center suitable for teaching yoga, meditation, bodywork and the like. Now we're making it available for private retreats for couples, families, and small groups who would like to experience the magic of this very special tropical mountain retreat. Ahu Lani means "heavenly shrine". We are at the top of a road leading up the slope of Mauna Kea, the highest mountain in Hawaii. Ahu Lani Sanctuary is a functioning forestry center and farm. We are currently engaged in planting native forest on 20 of our 24 acres. We also raise honey, eggs, and organic produce. Serene walking paths are maintained throughout most of our 24 acres. The 700 square foot round room is ideal for yoga, meditation, body work, and dance. The fireplace and living room in the Great Hall provide cozy nooks for reading and chatting. Wireless internet keeps you connected as need be. See also our facilities web page for more info. Up to four bedrooms are available, including the King Suite and Queen Suite with private baths, and smaller rooms that can sleep one or two people. For those who want it, we also have a TV room with HD Satellite TV. The King Suite also has its own flat-screen HD TV.
