Main Building

Ahu Lani's main building consists of sleeping areas, kitchen, dining and living rooms, library, laundry room, office, bathrooms, and a private residence area. The living room / dining room area is called the "Great Hall", and is used for various group activities.

Attached to the main building is the "Round Room," a beautiful 30-foot diameter 12-sided room with wooden floors.

Water and Energy Generation
Ahu Lani Sanctuary is totally "off the grid" and thus must generate all its own energy and water.


Most electrical energy is provided by a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system.


Catchment water is filtered and purified via a sophisticated system.

  • Radio phone connects to local telephone network
  • Cell phones work in some areas


Kitchen and Dining Facilities

The large, modern kitchen features two energy-conserving refridgerator-freezers, six-burner Viking gas stove, two sinks, and much more.

An organic garden and orchard provide some of the ingredients for food prepration.
